Usnic acid - legality and dosing

Two questions about usnic acid:

1. Is it legal in the United States? I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be, but am asking anyway, as I don't really see anyone mentioning it, nor do I see it being sold anywhere.

2. What would be the dosage for it's fat-uncoupling properties?

From my limited knowledge (never done it myself), It's supposedly more dangerous than DNP while not being nearly as good of a fat burner
