It is more effective in killing some skin germs (staph).
Bleach is standard advice if you don't want to have an abscess, specially with a depot/oily preparation.
Any water that you use after using bleach should be STERILE.
No one has recommended that he should reuse the syringes.bicepts101 said:yeah and shoot the remainder fo beach residue directly into the muscle...worse advise ever!

green to the 2 guys that suggested new pins

Folks, this is a no-brainer. This is bad practice. Just wait and order more or go somewhere like a vet supply store and get some more.
Wait the extra few days to inject. Nobody is gonna shrink up in a few days waiting for some needles to arrive.

I thought "go to the god damn pharmacy" was pretty obviously telling this idiot to get a new syringe. I guess not.
What I don't understand is how he "ran out" of pins, but happened to have the used ones laying around. Did you dig through the fucking garbage? They should be gone the second they are used. Sounds like he planned on using them more than once. Stupid shit.

This the solution if he insists on using used syringes.
This is the standard advice to drug addicts who share syringes to avoid HIV infection.
Show me a standard reference that shows me wrong.

digit0x said:Maybe he saw that they were running out? Regardless, yes its a moronic thing to do. Its like dropping a half eaten twinkie in a urinal, picking it out, and taking another bite... not recomended. There is now way to completely disinfect a needle in home. Factory seal is the only gurantee. Don't reuse it.
I'm never eating a twinkie againMichaelMacGyver said:Note to self: do not eat twinkie's while in the bathroom.....
