I tried this once. Made the inject site sore as f&*k for like 5 days. It was only 1cc EQ in the quad. Was told by someone on this board that the tip of the pin caused this by tearing muscle fibers. Like dragging a pin along a steak.chicagobuffedbod said:From what I've researched it seems advisable to go in DEEP. At one point I was using vet 2" needles. Never a problem. And I'm not fat ass by any means. And needles don't break. You'd have to bend it one way then reverse the bend all the way in the reverse direction for it to break. Obviously you can't do this as it is in your ass or other part of your body.
I recommend a Z track injection. A doctor taught this to me on how to inject myself. It's the best way to prevent a solution from backing up so that it stays put. I think there are other benefits but don't remember. Anyway, you use the index of your free hand and pull the skin taught, say 1" in a direction, when I do glutes I just pull the skin up, then I pop the pin in with the hand that has the syringe. And then release my finger of the free hand. So in essence you are creating a "Z" like pattern with the pulling of the skin, injecting of the needle and release of the skin.
