using 1 inch needles in glut???

benard_80

New member
The only needles i have left are 22 g 1 inch. I dont want to inject in arm or leg so would 1 inch be alright for the glut. thanks benard_80

you better have a low BF or you'll be injecting between muscle and fat...thats how you get the big bulges...I HAVE to use 1 1/2 in the glutes because I am a fatass

has anyone ever noticed on spotinjections.com how far they stick the needle in? isnt that way too close for fear it could break off?

I'm a skinny ass and I still use 1.5" for glutes. Maybe I'll try a 1" some day. oh and as for a needle breaking off, have you guys ever tried to break a needle? besides, I just stick the needle in and don't try to bend the syringe to a 90 degree angle, so basically there shouldn't be any stress to the needle.

yeah I put it in all the way so there is enough showing to use tweezers on if it breaks but that is about it. I have way to much fat on my ass I guess because 1inch gives me lumps.

i use 20g 1.5 inch in my quad....
It's kinda big around, but the juice goes in and out easily and it seems that i don't have to spend time screwing with air bubbles.
i'm considering sticking the glute, but i just can't see it as well. do you guys use a mirror or something?

22 gauge... me no like!

for glutes - 1 inch, 23 gauge
for quads and for delts - 3/4 inch, 25 gauge
for chest (dont like this injection but sometimes necessary) - 1 inch, 25 gauge

once the pin goes in, it doesn't hurt. The only pain is when you are breaking that area of the skin. Sometimes it goes smoother than others, but just in case, I always use 1 . 5 inches on the glutes.

Instead of different length pins, you can cut the protective cap the length you want it, place back over the pin & shoot.
The cap will prevent it from accidently going any deeper.

From what I've researched it seems advisable to go in DEEP. At one point I was using vet 2" needles. Never a problem. And I'm not fat ass by any means. :) And needles don't break. You'd have to bend it one way then reverse the bend all the way in the reverse direction for it to break. Obviously you can't do this as it is in your ass or other part of your body.
I recommend a Z track injection. A doctor taught this to me on how to inject myself. It's the best way to prevent a solution from backing up so that it stays put. I think there are other benefits but don't remember. Anyway, you use the index of your free hand and pull the skin taught, say 1" in a direction, when I do glutes I just pull the skin up, then I pop the pin in with the hand that has the syringe. And then release my finger of the free hand. So in essence you are creating a "Z" like pattern with the pulling of the skin, injecting of the needle and release of the skin.

I tried this once. Made the inject site sore as f&*k for like 5 days. It was only 1cc EQ in the quad. Was told by someone on this board that the tip of the pin caused this by tearing muscle fibers. Like dragging a pin along a steak.

Sorry you had a problem Waterboy, possibly since it was your first time doing it this way you might have injected too swiftly? I hear that injecting too fast can cause soreness. You do have to firmly hold the needle in place as well, when the skin is released there is a tendency for the needle to wiggle if you're not holding it still. I have done it this way pretty much all my juice using life.
