I think I'm switching over to Astraweb for my "warez". Giganews is okay, but I like Astraweb's plans then again usenetserver.com is also good. Thoughts?

I really hope I'm not the only one who understands this stuff.

What readers do you guys use?

With a damn 250gb cap coming to AT&T next month, I won't be doing much of anything online anymore (I currently use 30-60gb a day just backing my stuff up online, and AT&T isn't going to give you anything to meter your usage other than a website... their website his notorious from adding anywhere from 30%-300% more bandwidth than you are actually using, and we just have to trust them on what they say we use *grumble* )

You're wrong. Usenet is way easier and faster. There's no nzbmatrix.com for IRC.
I've been using IRC for years and I'll stick by it. I can't debate usenet is faster, but it's not that big of a difference. As for it being easier..well if someone has never used IRC, then yes. But if you're at all familiar with it the concept is pretty simple.

Perhaps. I'm happy with Usenet, and the non-geek people I setup with Usenet downloads are pretty happy.

btw: here's the $11/month special I used for Astra - http://www.news.astraweb.com/specials/kleverig-11.html

I used Easynews for a while. Let my subscription expire because I wasn't using it enough. But when I'm looking for something I go back.
