Used car advice

I forgot to mention that you can have the dealer show money down by adding the amount to the purchase price. Even with bad credit most financial intuitions will approve you if you put money down.

Say the vehicle you want is $10,000, we would send your application through for $13,000 & show the $3,000 as cash down. In most cases, lenders will re-valuate. The money down shows that you are serious & responsible (despite the credit card thing).

went with the grand am,gonna be 410 a month over 48mths,in 8 months they are going to help me refinance at a lower rate or shorter term if I choose. im just waiting for final paper work to go through and then it goes in for safety,i should have it tue or so

dont have the vin's,but im also looking at a grand am they have their 2002 se1 with the 3.4 so its better then the 4, my pops has a grand am gt which I know is a nice car so I might go with that, downfall is its white, but im not worried I just need something reliable. right now ive been using company rentals but when we are on jobs we get stuck at hotels with sometimes one car between 20 guys on big jobs and cant get groceries or go anywhere so I want to have my own to bring with me.

as for a cosigner,I dont want to get anyone else involved,I kinda want to do this on my own.
If you need something reliable go for a civic or a protoge. I had a two sunfires/cavaliers i drove both of them into the ground repairs and maintance on them are dirt cheap. All the cars your considering are complete crap I have two family members in the used car biz for many years so I have a good idea what the lemons are Neons are horrible.

thanks qt the place you suggested was my next choice if this place failed, but it seems like things worked out and the grand am was in great shape

Have you already got it? All I have to do is give my bro a call let him know he will hook you up with something that is not a piece of shit. Places that do the type of financing your getting tend to rape the customers.

Wow :worried:

The good thing is, this will help improve your credit. That's crazy though, I hope they don't give you any problems when you go to refinance it. Are they going to charge you a fee for this? (some places do)

qt- im signing the papers today once they come back from the fianance place.

skittles,- no fee for refinancing or early buy out, these guys seem pretty good, and its a friend of my buddy who im dealing with so i doubt he would screw me around

We do it all the time. Anything to get them bought without the high interest rate. I'm not sure what it's like in the US, but check into it!
