To my understanding, importing steroids IS illegal, so if my guy tells them what it is they'll just seize it or worse, tell authorities. This is my thinking on it, not saying I'm right.

I don't think they are question whether it is a steroid or vitamins with the heighten concern about terrorism they may be more worried that it is a poison Rison or anthrax or some other chemical agetn and they want to determine what the hell it is. of course if the suspected that it was poison they might have swarmed your house by now.

yea, im sure they ran tests for poisons,etc before giving him a call.

It might have been damaged during shipping. I used to work at UPS loading/ unloading trailers and all. Things would get broken all the time because of the fast pace they required us to work at. They had a guy working where all he did was cleaning up and taking care of broken packages. I don't know what he did with that stuff after he left with it; I was just glad it wasn't me who had to deal with it.

I had a shipment of powders coming to me 3 day express from china. I am in canada. They just called me and said they want the company in china to fax them with the exact contents that is in the pack. I know that it is all labled as different types of vitamins, and it was declared as documents. I would assume that since they called me they have already seized and looked inside it. Can anybody give me some advice. If I just forget about it do you think they will keep calling? I could also get the chinese company to send a fax that says what they are labled as (magnesium , etc.) but I would have to assume they are going to be testing it anyway.

I would take the loss and live with it. Next time you get a call, deny deny deny! Even a $100 worth can get you in trouble, so just be smart about it and consider it a lost cause.

Yes, UPS is not a law-enforcement agency, but they, I am sure, have contacted one already if they had suspicion of your package.

If I were you, theoretically - IMO of course, I would never ship anything to the same addy again (since UPS is VERY good at tagging addys).

Oh yes, one last word of advice, stop ordering from china! There are plenty of folks domestic that will take the risk and order the products, why risk a loss and maybe your freedom by ordering international.
