Upperbody workout with hammer

We did some inclines, cleans, some oly lifts, zott press, and AR.

Everything was really new to me, still gotta work on my form on the oly lifts as nothing seemed right or comfortable.

Kept doing a reverse curl instead of a clean, became fun when the weights started going up lol.

In short, i'm gonna practice with the bar tomorrow to get my form right. Oh yea, my cns is completely burned out.

BTW, the guy is a monster on the incline.

Both you and hammers!

My numbers were nothing special since I was trying to get the form right on the oly lifts.

Tried a bunch of times and I think one or two times I got the form okay on the cleans. Kept "reverse curling" it the other times.

I'll let hammer post his numbers if he wants to. :)

Inclines - been a while for me. Slow controlled eccentric, expolsive concentric. I see a 400 in my future.

Power cleans - quick snapping movements. On a demo for sk* Iused a 115 and jumped a foot off the ground to smash myself in the chin with the bar. You can call that a dual lesson. Solid form and look out for the bar lol

Power jerks - my new friend

Hang cleans - my old friend

Push Press - improving every week. My core is catching up to the rest of my body but it looks like I will still need about 3-4 months b4 I am caught up.

Zott press - felt like a gift after the oly work.

I just went in to try some cleans at the gym. No real weight, just 135lbs (regular bar) to practice with.

I don't think I am getting it, my joints are hurting badly now. :(

Hmmmm, it is hard to understand but bear with me. Baically you get down into a squat position and pull slowly at first and then pick up speed like a train. by the time the bar is at waist level it is moving at terrifying speed and you upright row it just to control the bar path, it has enough momentum now to fly above your head. yo let your hand snap back and the bar should land right right by your delts and chest, kind of right into an olympic front squat stance. if you can't get it I will show you sunday

Thanks bro, but I am not trying this again alone. I feel like I just got hit by a train. :(

I didn't keep my head up completely, so I was watching myself do it in the mirror ... it really was nothing like the way dave was doing it.

Hammer I love that workout...I might have to do one like that now.....lol


Sk: the amount of time and effort spent learning the oly's is nothing compared to the payoff...if you are looking to become more powerful
