Un-Equal Strength Gains from Anavar

British Bulldog

New member
Hi guys,

Both my bro and me are on an Anavar only cycle at 70mg/day. So far it’s been 2 weeks & we have both made excellent gains on squats and dead lifts. However, our bench press and shoulder press remain the same. Out diets are good, and we are not over training chest (12 sets for chest/week – heavy & intense).

My question is: has anyone else experienced un-proportioned gains with Anavar? I have done several cycles with other steroids, but never experienced this.

All input is welcome. Thank you.

sounds like maybe u didn't work your legs as hard before cycle....now they are making the easy base gains., where as like most males the chest , and upper body are further developed taking a little longer to gain some quality numbers., and genentics play a role as welll., peace.......gunz

Why would it have anything to do with the anavar? It's probably just your routine.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing. I definitely have improved strength in all areas, but my leg strength and shoulder strength is through the roof. And I have not changed my routine in any way whatsoever. I was working legs just as intensely before the var. I actually had to start working my legs less because my quads and glutes got enormous. I'm getting stretch marks all over my thighs while losing fat. While my bench press did increase for the first few weeks of the cycle, it has since been stagnating. I think that's just because my chest is my worst bodypart to begin with.

But anyway, my leg strength increased tremendously, more than I ever imagined possible from anavar. My leg gains are larger in proportion to any other body part gains except maybe my bi's and tri's which unluckily grow like weeds. Unluckily because they're now terribly scarred with stretch marks because they won't stop growing. :D

I say its anavar because I have always trained with high intensity on all body parts on all cycles. I have always gotton proportioned gains. This is the only time that this has not happend. Infact I have developed my own formula for lift increases from my experience over the past 6-10 years:

For every 10kg increase in bench press:

Squat increases by 10kg
Deadlift increases by 15kg
Shoulder press by 7.5kg
bicep curl by 5kg
etc
etc

To acheive the above requires about 7 lbs of LBM.

Although I did work my legs hard b4 cycle, they are actually weak compared to my upper body stregth.

I hope I see some gains on my upper body in the next few weeks. If not then I will be very un-proportioned, in the opposite direction this time. LOL.
