Frack sorry to hear about this man, it is a part of life and it is never easy. At 32 I have been through this a few times and dealt with it from both sides.

As for some of the advice you got from others, let me tell you that lots of it is bullshit.

Banging a bunch of woman or hooking up with someone else right away to take your mind off it won't do you a lick of good bro, although yes it would be fun. When I see that I just shake my head, that is a self-esteem problem not a confidence problem.

You want some good advice someone gave me a long time ago. If you wanna be truly happy with someone else again, you have to first be able to be happy on your own. Deal with this, get over it and then move on. Be with someone cause you want to not cause you need to.
