As proof as to what I am saying, google cgi proxy and choose a proxy in anywhere in the world. The common ones are displayed as easy as pie to use.
Just type in elitefitness.com/forum and you have the same address.

Now, if you want to prove what I am talking about, go to wikipedia and check your messages. B/c a proxy is a shared address then will tell you off on things you have never done from times prior to having ever used that proxy so you share the same ip address.

For instance, if you use a proxy in Detroit that is close to you so the information packets are near the fastest and it is a well known proxy. i could create an alter with the same IP address as you easily.
Sound complicated, well how about you explain it to a hundred people prior so every person becomes your alter with a shared open proxy.

I have nothing to tell as far as info. I am pretty boring, the only thing I urge is dont believe anything you read regardless if they say ip address matches.

For that instance, just google cgi proxy and surf the web anonymously and surpass bans or whatever they want

i wasn't doubting you there, orbly. i know the IP excuse is very convenient when wanting to try and convince someone of something. i remember my good buddy Ulcasterdropout (damn good bro) mentioned a lot about proxies and ip's.

Also, to see how easy it is to explain this. Go to a common free proxy, you can google tons of them with cgi proxy but to illustrate my point. Just go to www.kproxy.com

That will take you to a search page, type in the address you want to surf anonymously. The places or chatboards or whereever will show that your IP address is 66.225.214.123
Which comes back to nothing

You should always proxy serve and the download times are near identical and you can't be hacked or zombied b/c of a site you visit.

Now, if y'all went to kproxy.com, signed in with your regular handle then you would all have the same ip address so when admin searched to match IP handles in the vbulletin admin panel then it would list your IP address as matching several people. A person that is unaware would say its the same person but if you all logged in with the same proxy then they would incorrectly 'ass'ume it was the same person.

Now, how easy is it to hack your computer with your calling card (ip address)? Pretty easy if you are unfamiliar with this stuff so far. If you don't know about proxy serving then its likely you are just as stupid about computer security and chances are that you have open holes in your system. Even some of you are running zombie machines sending out mass emails using your bandwidth.

Let's say for example, I created a chatboard, I got all of your IP addresses that came and visited (those who did not proxy serve).
THEN, I used your IP address with a port scanning program and detected your settings and weaknesses, read more here http://www.auditmypc.com/freescan/readingroom/port_scanning.asp

I can get your IP address from instant messaging. Install a trojan after I detect your weaknesses which most of you have. Then I install a keylogger program read this http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GWYA,GWYA:2005-26,GWYA:en&q=keylogger

Simple, twenty minutes of time and I am able to read every single thing you type on your computer with a keylogger including all of your passwords, bank accounts etc...

Simply speaking, a person you chat with online can take over your computer and easily take over your e-life. So try the proxy serving stuff to not be stupid.

If you surf on 10 sites at the same time, do you have to go to a proxy 10 times or is there a more convenient way? (like a proxy embedded in your browser)

Besides you lose your cookies each time I guess?

stay AWAY from free proxies!!!!!!

EVERYTHING you type will be passing through the server of someone you don't know, how is that more secure? Install (a) realtime, automatically updated virus scanner (b) good firewall like the free zoneAlarm (c) no other programs you don't know, or scan them first. And you're pretty damn safe. Nothing's 100% but it sure beats using a proxy. Paid proxies, maybe, but don't trust any unregistered crap that shows up in Google, it's just a trap.

THere they have people banning new proxies as they pop up on a list but it takes a few days usually. Its quite impossible to have a team of monkeys working around the clock on a chatboard doing that but then again, most would not care to do that anyhow
