Tito will be too much for the aging Shamrock, who by the way Shamrock NEVER won anything in that sport, no belts or titles. Even when he was a pioneer and the only athlete in the sport when Royce dominated he couldnt win the big one.

Arlovski. Unless he gets caught fighting long from the outside.

I swear, someone out there doesn't want me to watch any UFC PPV....once again, I'm working a nightshift tonight. That's 4 PPV's in a row. Ah well.

This one seems to have a decent card; the headliners, of course, but I'd also like to see Mir fight, and I'm sure Monson will destroy his opponent. I'd expect him to be a contender in the near future.

Fickett is always good to watch, and the Josh vs Josh fight will be a good one, too.

after last nights shitty ufc that would have been a terrible mistake!

Herb Dean Blows!! McCarthy should have had both big mathces. Ken took 3 elbows and he stopped the fight! What the Fuck? Ken is a 15 year veteran, sure he was on his way to an asswhooping, but I think Ken deserves more respect... its not like he was a newcomer.

Arlovski vs Silvia was 3-2 Arlovski, but the judges saw something else. The bottom line is that Arlovski stopped chopping the leg after the first round. He was tearing Silvia's leg up and he completely abandoned it. I have no idea why. He should have chopped the leg for 3 rounds and then start shooting for takedowns in round 4-5. His gameplan sucked.

agreed^^^^, but damn the fight could ve went ethier way!!! and at most a spit decision!!!

I guess the prevailing attitude is that you have to soundly beat the champ to take the belt. It was a close fight and Silvia gets a free point just for having the belt.

this is true...if a fight is even close to being a tie they always give it to the current champ...the challenger has to really take the fight to the champ to get a decision...and arlovski did not do that.

Excellent assessment of the fights ass_face.

Tito executed his game plan perfectly and then got lucky by the ref stopping the fight way to early. Ken came out aggressive but after the slam just kinda laid there and didn't work for a sweep to escape.

Arlovski never should have stopped attacking the lead leg of Sylvia. He was always the aggressor in the fight and Sylvia was content to counterpunch the whole fight. I never thought this would go the distance. I don't agree with the scoring either but Sylvia didn't do enough to earn the victory IMO. He looked lean as hell and came in lighter than I have ever seen him fight. He proved to everyone that his chin is not suspect but he didn't execute and intelligent gameplan and lost a slim desicion.

Burkman looked good, Monson should give Sylvia a run for his money, and Mir looked like a shadow of his former self.
