NOW: on diet soda. I'm going to give you some anecdotal evidence from the highest paid individuals on planet earth - investment bankers in NYC at one of the Top 5.
They work 14 hours/day, because at 22 right outta school they make $100K, 26 outta MBA they make $300K, and by 30 they're making $1 million/year and it just goes up and up. Downside: shortens your life. Upside, can retire as a wealthy wealthy person at 40.
Long story short. They don't drink diet soda. They don't drink coffee. 14 hour days are 10am-2am. Short term fixes don't cut it, and believe it or not they think there is something in diet soda that messes with their head. They lose focus. Only drink "regular" soft drinks. Natural sugar is best, they think.
They say if you're resorting to coffee and lots of caffeine, you better be at your wits end, because that'll only get you through the next 2-3 hours, not a 14 hour day.
I don't know if it's true or not, but they're life is about maximizing face time and being awake to deal with the most complex crap you could ever imagine, and get paid TONNSSS to do it. I trust people like that. BTW Corbin Bernson is my friend who is working there when he graduates.
I guess if they're crazy, that's just what it takes to get them through the Day Game.
