Just got back from the movie... it was pretty damn good. If you weren't planning on seeing it, I would!!! :) lol

The previews were good too.

3 hours or so... the "previews" started at 11am, and the I got to my car at 2:15PM...

It was a 5 out of 5 on my Citruscide scale of awesomeness... which, is the best scale out there... as a comparison... Brooke Burke Gets a 5 out of 5 on Citruscide's scale of Hotness... so if this movie were a chick, it'd be hot.

I'm gonna see it tomorrow at the IMAX theater on I-Drive in Orlando. If anyone hasn't been to one, it's definitely an awesome theater experience.
 
I hadn't planned on going tonight but alas, I have 10:15 tickets. I will be thankful for caffiene tomorrow morning as I anticipate some serious dragging-of-my-ass at work. ;)

I loved the movie. I need to see it again. The crowd was good for the show too- everyone was pumped to see good action. Cheers and applause were frequent thru the 3 hours, especially whenever Legolas did something cool.
 
Seeing it asap. I just hope to go when there aren't 100 10 year olds there is all. I'm anxious to see it! I loved "Fellowship"!

No such crowd with me... I had 2 15 year old girls giggling behind me like "Frodo is sooo stupid, why is he letting that ring do that? I'd just throw it away?" -- I wanted to flail them... but alas... I'm not in Middle Earth... and flailing is illegal here. :(

Yeah, I might go try and catch the movie tomorrow afternoon, if they have any more tickets. :)

Yeah, immortal to age. When I read some of the books, they die one of two ways... being killed or grief...

does frodo die in the next movie?


i saw two towers today.


gallum/smegle played more of a role than i thought he would. i liked him...


the trees were pretty cool at 1st, then got boring, but played a good role in the end.


legolas was definitely my fav. character again.


the cinemetagrophy was amazing, even better than the 1st.


i'm guessing within the next few years there's a similar type movie made. possibly something involving the greek gods. whenever a movie of 2 towers magnitude comes out there's always a couple movies made to cash in on the fad.
 
The theater was packed, the movie was fabulous, and I got home just after 1:30 this morning. The most memorable part of the trip that is not movie-related were the 2 ~118 year old guys in front of us. They refused to sit next to each other. They sat several seats apart after having a conversation about how people would think they were gay if they were side by side.

I guess I've never thought that if I saw two guys sitting next to one another....but if one was giving the other head, that would be a whole other story.
 
we're taking my son to see it this weekend, i don't know who is wanting to go more, me or him, my husband is just ok about going, i'm glad everyone is saying its good, so he'll enjoy it, he liked the first one. :)


i can't wait!!!!
 
I like it!

the 30min war was cool too, except they might need better defence system :D.

People around were saying that the movie was a bit far from the book!

But I did liked it

kayne, i went at 12:15pm on wednesday and it was packed. im guessing a week day would be the best time to go.

the movie is actually a lot different from the book but its still really good.

legolas is a bad ass in the movie. i love it when he grabs that horse as its speeding by and flips up on it. sliding down the stairs on that shield was pretty tight too.
 
I'm not telling you if Frodo dies or not... you can read the book Return of the King if you want... it's a good read... I suggest you read FotR and the Two Towers as well... it really builds on the budding friendship between Gimil and Legolas... and more on the Sword Maiden of Rhohan... :)

The third will be the best movie of the three if it keeps going at this rate... it was the best of the three books...

that movie was fucking awesome, the only problem what that I had to go pee halfway during the movie and I held it in the whole time.

and what's with the value of the US dollar at the movie theater? I bought a bottle of water for 3.75!!! I felt like I was paying in pesos.

No restroom breaks- that's the main problem with a three hour movie.

It was really cold that night so I wore my parka. I borught my own snacks in my pockets. Saved myself some cash.
 
that movie was fantastic. I usually hate going to movies because the seats are uncomfortable and normally I hate people in theaters. But we saw it this afternoon and it was pretty empty for my standards... they were also playing it every 1/2 an hour at the theater I was at. I'll probably go again... and I never do that.
