Tuna fish sandwich

letsrun4it

New member
100% whole wheat bread 2 slices
light mayo
2 cans of tuna

Is a tuna fish sandwich part of a good bulking diet? Last time I bulked I did not keep it "clean" enough.

of course!

Depending on where you are at -- i.e. are you small looking to bulk to get big, or already big & looking to add more muscle? Some people, i.e. hardgainers, can and should eat just about everythign in sight to get those cals up. Others might want optimal complex carb sources. Bread is ok, but not great. Another thought is that wheat can be estrogenic so you might want to look for gluten-free bread (which can get expensive) or stick w/ sources like brown rice, potatos, yams, oatmeal, etc.

I was 177 before my first cycle. Now I'm 200 pounds. Just a few years back I was 137. Due to bloat and fat gain my first cycle I went as high as 217. I'm going to start another bulker looking to get up to 220-230 but I want it to be cleaner than last time.

1. How the hell do you fit 2 cans of tuna between 2 slices of bread. LOL
2. Im suprised nobody said anything but thats wayyyyyyy to much protien in one sitting. I know its hard as hell to get your protien numbers high but stuffing it in like that defeats the purpose

i used to eat 2 sandwiches during bulking...

I wouldnt say its TOO much protein, but it IS ALOT.

30g from tuna, 4 from bread?

so its like 64g, from my reading the limit is between 50-75, everyones different, but that is STILL alot of protein a meal, i persoanlly only use 1 these days.

but im cutting...

2 cans a tuna=74grams protien
2 slices wheat bread =10 grams protien
84grams total
i dont car what any of you say, theres no way in hell your body can even come close to digesting all that protien.

Its never good to make generalized statements man. Maybe YOUR body cant digest that much but your not EVERYBODY bro. The problem is a lot of guys sit and read what jay cutler and ronnie coleman are eating and just apply it to themselves. But your talking about 300lbs of solid mass, And im pretty sure no one on here is there. But those guys are taking in around 600g a day of protein. I highly doubt that they are eating them at 30-40g a whack. Think about it if a 150lb guy can digest 30-40g a sitting, then i would think a 300lb guy could take down 60-80g. The problem is when the 150lb guy starts to shove down 80g a whack, but then again maybe some of them can, because EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT.

just to add to that...just because you take in more protein than your body can use its not like those calories dont count.

2 cans of tuna?? WHere the hell are you guys from? Mine 12g-13g/serving....a can is 2.5 servings////so, it's 60, MAX!

True, your body stores them as fat? i forget.

im staring at the tuna can right now. each can has 2.5 servings so thats 5 servings total. each serving has 15 grams of protien therefor 5*15 =75grams of protien.
