when you look at a thread - over to the far right is the name of the person that has last posted to that thread.

if you click on that name, it brings up their profile.

so if I see that I'm the last person to post on a thread, then I should be able to see "HappyScrappy" over to the right, and click on it and see my profile, b/c it points to my name. whee doggy.

BUT

if I see that name, but in the mean time, before my page has reloaded, someone else has posted to that thread after me, then when I click on "HappyScrappy" it doesn't go to my profile, but that of whoever posted last.

so what is entirely not at all interesting nor fascinating, is that link, while it looks like it should go to the profile for that name, in fact is instead a link to the profile of whoever has posted last.
which means there is more programming involved than it seems.

Shit. I've been posting for a couple of months and it was literally just yesterday that I even noticed the name in the far right hand side at all. It's been very handy. I think your info is useful.

things that I like to use:

if you click on the arrow at the far right of the thead, it will take you to the last post on that thread.

if you look to the far left - there are icons there based on how popular the thread is, as well as if there are new posts to it since you've last read it.

if you post to that thread, then to the far left another icon comes up, and it changes with new posts as well - and I'm not entirely sure, but I think if you post to that thread, and someone quotes you, then the icon is diff.... can't confirm that....

if you click on someone's profile, you can add them to your buddy list from there, and/or the ignore. and in there you can see all of their posts sorted by time. you can also see what their last post was.

in your own profile from the button above, you can see how many karma points if you care - but more importantly see what people will say to you in the karma when given the chance to be anon. you can also see which of your buddies are on.

the best feature? the one where magic gnomes dance around the screen. you can activate that one with mescaline
