My son and I were studing his history, the Minoan and Mycenenean civilizations. As we studied, one of the questions was, "Did the Mioans have a redistributive economic system?" the answer was "yes". He asked what that was and I read the text explaining that all the people were taxed their grain that they grew and they had to give it to the government, in turn the government gave back part of the grain for them to use, everybody got back about the same amount to use for the next year. He said, " What if you owned more land than other people and you were a hard worker and made alot more grain than some of the others who were lazy and didn't work hard, that's not fair, you should get more. That would make people not want to work, just be lazy and let everyone else make the grain."
I looked at him, he's TOTALLY serious looking back at me. All I said was "Welcome to the Republican party." LMAO
and then had to explain that. Hell, he's 11 damnit, and HE got it.
