Never carry your gear in your hand luggage always make sure its secure in your case and checked into the hold

secondly take your gear, wrap it in carbon paper (you can buy carbon paper in any stationary store, carbon paper is the stuff that looks black and is used on the old visa transaction slips and when duplicating receipts etc.

wrap in carbon paper then in socks secure and snug, stuff into shoe and into hold luggage

no xray machine in the world can see through carbon paper it just shows as a ball as if your socks are rolled into a ball.

Im ex special armed forces in the uk (14 years served) i know this works, we used carbon paper regular to transport sensitive documents around the world.

Would this work?

Anything oral can be hidden in an asprin bottle. Anything with a syringe will probably flag in the x-ray (Yes, they even x-ray your stowed luggage at many airports here in the US). Maybe spend $40-$50 on a diabetic supplies (Blood sugar tester, that plunger thingy that pricks your finger, alcohol swabs, band-aids) and put it all together in a smaller toiletry bag and put it in your suit case. Pre-load your needles and put it with in the toiletry bag and now it appears that you are a diabetic. I think this would work and your gear would make it through without any worries.

Yeah, it works. I just traveled to and from the "sandbox" and carried enough gear to the States and back for three weeks. Wrap it up and tuck it in a sock.

has anyone else done this? What happens if you get caught with a small amount of gear? how much trouble can you really get in? I know what they can do but what really happens?
