Training music

i just got an MP3 player, so i dont have to listen to the britney spears backstreet boys dance shit they play at my gym. so what do you listen to?

Currently i like disturbed, old Korn, Staind, Mudvain, and such. anyone like music like this that has some other ones they listen too that i might like? thanks for the help.

hey mp3 player,no skipping!

music like that look on cdnow.com at american head charge they are pretty good and hard rock, but linkin park is my favorite to lift to.

hookuprx, minor threat is cool.....but not chunky enough for training......thats where the new hardcore comes in:
Ring worm and Hoods are the best for me at the moment

I gotta listen to some good metal when i work out. Aggresive stuff like Slayer, Morbid Angel etc. Just recently I got the WWF music cd and been noticing that im putting up more weight when the Motorhead song comes on for Triple H (The Game) hahahh.

ha ha i listen to self help tapes......... like how to build a high self esteem.......im thinking of incorporating anthony robbins personal power tapes, see what thats all about.......

i find this helpful because i get 2 benefits.......but what do i know?

why is it that everyone has the same taste these days? disturbed, limp bizkit, jeesus. that is just crap. back in the day, minor threat was a different sound. I actually like the self titled song, minor threat. good band, but I prefer ian mckaye's days when he headed fugazi...

the People's Champ do you like "embrace"?
its ians band after minor threat?
sounds corny but its a mix between teen idols , minor threat, but emotional like fugazi

Rave or dance music usualy helps, my male bodybuilder friends like to play this music as loud as possible, they say that it makes them 'hardcore' and want to train harder also they say the music occupies thier minds so when they lifting realy heavy weights they dont even feel it

Definately a great band, but when lifting I need something more edgy and raw like Black Flag, Minor Threat - The more hardcore punk bands, then there is always room for OI!

I have actually had some of my best workouts when listening to sports talk radio. Might not have anything to do with it, but I have found that sometimes when I listen to something hard like Disturbed, Metallica, etc I get TOO UP and can not focus on the task at hand.

Hard rock or some kind of fast dance/techno music gets me totally pumped up to work out. The best thing about MP3 players (at least mine) is that its easy to change music every time you go to the gym. I always change my music up.

Trance for isolation and blocking everything out
Pantera for get the fuck out of my face I still have 2 sets left...Pardon the french

When I used to work out at my friends gym I would play Trance or Hardcore. Morbid Angel....hehe, my band used to practice next to them when I lived in Flori-duh. Trance does make you zone out so that you dont feel the heaviness of the weight as much. Ministry,Deftones,Beastie Boys,Helmet(they rock!),system of a down- anything heavy and driving would work for lifting. Actually I dont really wear an MP3 player or anything so I listen to what the gym had playing. I kinda zone it out after awhile.

Lots of Billy Ocean...

Yeah... right! :)

Anything hard will get you going. Get yourself in the zone and blast away. It's hit and miss as to what they play at my gym, so I want to get a player.

I listen to Green Day when I workout, I notice I can lift about 10 percent more. I got sick of hearing Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Nsync, that crap would give me a headache.

Music makes it better, I think. It gets you more into it... you let the tunes hit the ears and soak in and work to the intensity of the music. Blast away... I do.

GG Allin. I miss the fece slinging, self-flagellating sociopath.

Jacob Creutzfeldt
something about songs like "bite it you scum, i wanna cum" make me reved too. But i dont know about watching videos of girls shitting in his mouth and him masterbating while singing...or dude of his bands shitting while sucking each other off............maybe its just me.

That was a hermaphrodite that took a dump down his gullet.

aurelius,

i get into my music and just go at a set. plus, which would you rather hear while lifting, distrubed, or backstreet boys singin some pussy as love song? exactly.

thanks for the help so far, ive been downloading stuff to see what i like.

Sounds good. Problem for me is the music I really enjoy engages my mind to such an extent that I find it difficult to concentrate on anything else. I find it easier to just block out the Shania Twain.

You mention "distrubed." I´ve never heard of them. Been away from the US for awhile now.

You wrote, "thanks for the help so far, ive been downloading stuff to see what i like."

Confused. You must have been addressing the members in general.

"Back straight on squats... FOR SAFETY!"

It's gotta be Linkin Park Crawlin that gets me pumped up. Just so full of energy that you forget everything else and just let the adrenaline flow.
