Training Intensity

I'm currently in my 5th week of training for Muscle Mania 08. My training takes me to the point of feeling nautious before training especially on leg days, and on the bubble of puking during my workouts. Just curious how many others train to that point or do you just train to a medium intensity. My feeling about training is that you must come to the breaking point of feeling sick and to the point of body shutdown. How do you train.

I train extremely hard, but if I get sick than my workout has suffered. I usually don't get nautious except on leg days. If I start feeling sick I'll usually just take a little extra time between sets. There was one day that I was working legs and I just kept pushing and pushing until the point where I got sick and had to cut my workout short. I then went to the parking lot and took a nap in my car for the next 45 min. because I was too sick too even drive home. IMO that was pointless, my workout suffered and I wasted 45min sleeping in my car in the parking lot.

I go to balls to the walls as much as possible. Unless I am doing isolation work, or really focusing on contracting the muscle. But I cant remember puking ever. I get real dizzy and almost black out after intense deadlifts or squats. Some people just react different. If you saw my face while I was lifting youd know I wasnt fucking around, I pace around like I am about to fight and look like I am sqeezing out a baseball outta my dick hole while I am lifting. No puking though.

I have not puked yet but I'm finishing six weeks of hypertrophy before starting mass strength. Hypertrophy if anyone knows if you do it right, you feel likt S^%t. It breaks you down for mass strength then it's a build up from there.

do what works best for you within limits

however the idea of "back off periods" even while in the thick of training can be a welcome adjunct to a hardcore regimen.
