training frequency

Wanted to know what a good frequency is.I am considering the 5x5 for exercises,I need help making a good day/week plan for muscle groups.I am changing my old plan,because its too much(I did upper,lower,off,off,upper,lower,off) I am new,didnt expect it would be so hard to hit so many muscles in at one time,all I have really been getting is minimal chest and back and too much arm usage.I like doing abs eod.

Any ideas?

also when will I know when its time to rest(like 2wks off) I am afraid when that time comes 2wks will become 2 yrs.

Without stating your goals you're not going to get any specific kind of response.

Gain mass?
Lose weight?
Gain Strength?
Cardiovascular health?
etc.
 
I am a little fuck.17,5'11 145lbs. I am eating good,2 hr meals,got good protein,water,etc...I know for me thats my #1 is to start eating massive and clean. I am at 9% bf.I want size+strength.I would love a 2 to 1 ratio of muscle to fat gained. Dont need cardio advice,I do cardio daily,light(walk/jog)

Heres my problem.I live far from the clutches of society.(not too far,but further enough) I do not have access to a gym,and if I did I wouldnt go until I had a little more confidence.

I have 2 dumbs,1 barb,and a bench.I also have huge outdoor access,so I can do almost anything cardio wise. I also like self-weight.


On the 5x5 its one main exercise and two secondary for each muscle right?
That confuses me because Some exercises wear more than one muscle group.Like squats rip back and legs,so how can I divide this into days for shoulder,chest,bi/tri/forearm,back,ass(lunges)/thigh/calves.

Dont wanna over train,dont mind doing it daily.
