Training for strenght gains without burning out

Anyone have some info on how to train for strength for a long period of time without burning out.
I know you cant keep doing sets with less than 5 reps forever before burn outhappens.
How do weight class athletes maintain their weight or at least keep it under control.

id like to know that too. I think it goes about 3 weeks building up and then de load on the 4th week or something a long those lines

That sounds like classic linear periodization. Are you familiar with the Westside Baebell Club? They use conjugate periodization and train 365 days a year with usually great strength gains.

When you peter out after 3 or 4 weeks is that from maxing? I mean, are you trying to get a maximum weight with the same exercise? The body will not allow it. The CNS will shut it down. There is a way around it.

Goto www.elitfts.com and check out the Conjugate system or the article's, "The eight Keys" by Dave Tate.

Use WSB. I have a .pdf file I can send any of you guys if you want that describes all the WSB methods and such. It's a good read. Pretty long, though. Information compiled from various sources on Westside training.

And yes, using conjugate periodization would allow one to train for strength all year round, if they wished.

Im using WSB right now. My problem is that i grow too fast on it.

Grow too fast or get strong fast? Do you change your ME movement every week or every other week? How many different ME exercises do you do in your cycle?
