Training during PCT or not Training?

I am curious as to what your thoughts are on this.

During your PCT how many of you guys still train or do you guys take off during that time since your test levels are already going to be depressed and by training it will put you in an even more catabolic state. The recovery will be extremely hard since your test levels are down and by working out you are just progressing that catabolic state.

Someone try to explain the pros and cons to training or not training during your PCT.

Most claims of catabolism are bullshit. If you do a lay off during PCT not only will you lose more, but it's going to be that much harder to get back into a routine afterward. You need to train.

You train even harder during PCT because you are trying to kick your natural system into super-high gear. Your diet should also be a science experiment in order to keep and maintain gains.

Why the hell wouldnt you train during PCT.. thats a recipe for losing gains made

That's the dumbest shit I've heard in a long time.

how is it catabolic to train? its anabolic

sitting on your ass eating pizza and drinking beer watching CSI every night is whats catabolic.

your T levels don't have to drop in pct.. thats why you run pct in the first place!!

Training is NOT Anabolic. Might want to do your research on that.

Some theories have came to light that since your T levels in fact do drop more than usual during your PCT that you should reduce your training if not completely. The thinking behind this is that if you have lower than usual levels of testosterone that their is going to be no way to build the muscle back up after demolishing it through your training... But its rather more optimal to make sure that your diet is 100% so that you just MAINTAIN the muscle that you do have. Once T levels become restored then you pick back up on your training.

Again I am not an experienced steroid user so I do not know through personal experience. But I do know how the body works and am just wondering what everyones personal thoughts are on this.

if you over train it can be catabolic yes,, if you go and run 10 miles then yeah its catabolic.. but if you train properly to build mass yes its anabolic. when you train you release growth hormones .. I think you are not understanding the concept

you are confusing the spike in cortisol after a workout which is a normal bodies response to the stress and repair. but to run away from it and quit on training during pct is buffoonery.

also just because something is catabolic doesn't mean you should avoid it.. veggies are catabolic foods, should we not eat veggies? absolutely not.. the whole catabolic vs. anabolic thing is one of the biggest myths out there. for example after your workout if you don't eat for a couple hours you aren't gonna shrink up like magic. I actually have been doing the mackerel run after the gym for the past 2 weeks ... i don't have time to eat i have to get out there before sundown so i'm getting home a full 3-4 hours after my workouts to eat dinner and I'm still the biggest i've ever been.

so thats my opinion on it lol

I completely understand the concept. What exactly does catabolic mean? The break down of tissue... In this case we are talking about weight training, so muscle catabolism. When you workout, everyone knows that you are BREAKING the muscle down... So therefore working out is catabolic...

You are correct. I do not think that if you dont eat right after your workout that you are going to shrink... However I do think that if you want optimal gains you should definitely eat as soon as possible after your workout to go ahead and start the recovery process. I mean why not?

with fitness if you take a scientific approach to things you will typically fail at this game. so by this logic we shouldn't workout cause we are breaking the muscle down right? does this seriously make any sense?
