training before casting/photoshoot?

I have a casting today for a commercial, and I'm wondering if it is wise to train before the casting or should wait for today in the evening.

My workout today is legs, and I have time to go train like at 12-13 hrs but I'm wondering if that would make my muscles look soft or if you have any recommendation.

Thanks!

Bump for Sassy69/Bunny. I'd suggest PMing them or posting this in the Women's Training forum, but it looks like you've already done the latter (although double posting is generally frowned upon).

No - since too late now, don't know if you did. I never used to train my legs before a competition 7 days out. Cardio stopped 4-5 days out. Gravity is always against you unless you are crunchy lean...which I can't imagine that's the look you are striving for in your profession.

If you will require your legs to be visible and you wish them (and the rest of you) to look as lean as possible, the safest way to do this IMO is:

- take a day or two beforehand and 'clean out'...eat yogurt only for a few meals and avoid anything bloating like salad or veggies. Drink distilled water and watch your salt intake. If you really needed to lose some water safely, I wouldn't recommend diuretics - just a potassium load, water deplete (can explain if necessary).
- lay off the leg training and cardio 4-5 days out
- elevate your legs when possible up to the time you need to display them

That's about as technical as I'll get here since it sounds as though its not hardcore competition related. :)

thank you very much to you all for your responses.

Finally I decided not to train my legs before the casting. Rather I slept for two hours to appear fresh.

I will be notified in these days if I will appear in the commercial, but got some photo shooting for a promotion of a gym. I think I will do the recommendations of Quadsweep sister for that day.

by the way, why is it important to elevate legs before displaying them?

That generally helps reduce the watery look on the legs. Where QS says "gravity is always against you unless you are crunchy lean".
