Training and vitamin needs.........

Was just reading some posts by a 'friend' of gonelifting. He claims that vitamin needs do not change when you start training. Notably this guy sells what he claims is the ultimate vitamin supplement!

Well anyway, I disagree. For example, vitamin C is important in maintaining connective tissue. Often when people get sore shoulders from heavy lifting a higher dose of Vit C wil alleviate the problem.

So anyway, would you say that vit and mineral needs do not change when you start training?
 
well.....your body doesn't need much to survive.....

but, i would think if you are training hard, your nutritional intake is going to need to change in order to get stronger, build more muscle, repair damaged tissue, etc....
