I can envision a pair of PMs parked in your drive

I wouldn't mind having one. Shit that would be awesome to go to the beach in.

toyota hasn't has a decent exciting design since the supra
but lexus receives all the cool shit
regular toyotas are for regular americans,of which there are millions upon millions
still myself I love the land cruisers

that cs&s has been a concept for like 4 years. I saw it in a magazine w/ the pontiac solstice, kind of like a comparison thing.

There's been talk of a Toyota supercar. Man I hope it happens.

Toyota is bar none the best automotive company on the planet. It's a shame their North American offerings are so tame. They've got some kickass cars that sell in other countries. I think they still make the Supra in all its twin-turbo glory for Japan.

the rumored mark V supra
5 liter engine
most likely any 5th generation supra would emerge under the lexus badge

Yeah i've heard that. Hopefully I'll have $ by then :). Lexus is supposed to come out with an AMG/M-series type of lineup. A 400+ hp V8 IS would be sick.

I THINK there's supposed to be another - a Ferrari/Lamborghini fighter that's gonna be like $250.000. I heard this a while back from a toyota exec. He may have been messing with us though, or referring to a concept car. He was pretty vague about it.

here's a link of what's supposed to be th 07 Supra.

"Toyota insiders say the reincarnated Supra should reach the market in 2006 as a 2007 model. The rear-wheel drive coupe, being targeted at the Nissan 350Z, will be powered by a twin-cam 3.5-liter V-6 and priced from well under $30,000."

what I like about my '98 supra turbo is that it is the last of the "fullsize" japanese muscle cars
I just can't get into these 2 seater sportsters that are popular now
mind you they are all fine looking cars from the BMW and benz models to the 350 and others

Depends on what country you're talking about.

For example, the Lexus SC430 is a Toyota Soarer in its home market.

Saw the Pontiac Solstice the other day. Instant lust.

Me: "OMG, what is THAT?" Schwing!
Mrs. Digger: "Oh, that's the new Pontiac. Sunshine? Sunbeam? Something sun-related. Solstice, that's it. Didn't know it was out yet. Nice." (Mrs. Digger is the real car buff in the family.)

The NY Times review was "Eh." They basically said the MX-5 owned it coming and going... even the Miata's cupholders are better. So what? I still want one.

Portland is amazing if you're into cars, by the way. Classics all over the fuggin' place, and being driven every day. Old VW Beetles and Microbuses, T-birds, Buicks, '49 trucks, classic Porsches, you name it -- all out there on the road and most of them looking cherry. If it were dry like Arizona I could understand it, but there's mist in the air almost all the time.

There has been long-standing rumour that Toyota is developing a full-size diesel pickup that is supposed to compete against the American pickups. If they really do decide to develope this, consider it the end for the American automakers.

They already have a full-size pickup, the Tundra. As a daily driver, it trounces the domestics. I dunno if it's really up to the task for the 1% of pickup owners who actually use them as work vehicles though. But for the majority who use pickups as grocery getters and trips to Lowe's, Toyota and Nissan have already surpassed the big-3.

Yes I know about the Tundra, I meant they are rumoured to be looking at developing a heavy duty full-size diesel pickup for those that require the higher towing capacity and payload. They are looking at giving the Tundra a much needed facelift, or have they already done so?

I've read that Toyota has been "holding back" in the truck category
they really don't want to finish the US automakers
the UAW is taking care of that task just fine

If you look at the "concept" cars that have been designed since 1980 -- they really ahven't changed.

they still look futuristic space age shit -- shit that'll never get built.

The Toyota exec I mentioned earlier also said to expect a BIG hybrid Toyota truck. Again, vague as hell but he made this one sound more like a sure thing.

Yep this is what I'm referring to. This rumour has been around for a while now, so I'm sure there is some truth of Toyota looking in that direction. From a business standpoint, it's an aggressive move but it does make sense as the North American market is rampant with pickups. Should Toyota make that move, my goodness the Big 3 will be pissing their pants.

Every year at the chicago autoshow you see some of these concepts and you just get use to them never being made. I'm the biggest toyota fan since I drive a Celica and am really hoping something big comes out in the next 5 years. If not I am buying a Scion TC with the supercharger package .....

Toyota have discontinued both the Celica and MR2 for North America, so the Scion is their only offering in the sporty coupe market. I don't see them reversing that decision anytime soon.

Is that PM three wheeled? I just took a quick look. If it is you can buy one of those in England. It's based on a motorcycle engine and drives pretty much like one except it's enclosed. I would drive one of those if I could get my hands on one.

The PM is a four wheeled vehicle. Pretty damn cool. I'd buy one in a heart beat. I bet it gets like a gazzilion mpg or some such shit.

Or at least a Brazillion...

The Saturn version of the roadster on the same platform has a better looking rear end.
