Toying with moving...Cali, or Florida?....

I am 26, have lived in Northern New Jersey all my life. I am thinking of moving within the next few years (hopefuly) but it's still premature thinking yet. Sooner or later It's going to happen. But meantime it all depends on how the job situation "there" goes/here also. (corrections officer)
Thing is...I am unsure of where to move to, California....or Florida? I like both, but Girlfriend has family in Florida, but I prefer California to Florida since I think it has more to offer. (not to offend our Florida bros...sorry lol) But, seriously, I like Florida, but think Florida is just too smal when compared to California. But I am going to go wherever I can get better employment oppertunities at. Even though never visited myself, ...I always liked the fact of warm weather, and just knew California, that I would like since as of everything I had heard from friends and family whowere out there. I knowpemature also, but a safe assumption. I even like the states it surrounds anyway. Also, I am leaving my immediate family by moving, and I get pissed when the gf,...I can see her parents(which are very nice people although to me) do not like the fact that she want's to go to Cali to live possibly. They are planning to move down there to Florida, and are now trying to encourage her to consider "Florida instead. The brothers do whatever tey want,....but she gets shit, and I feel like just saying,.fuck this shit,...I am too old for this shit,...but... I do like the parents, they are nice, take us ou ll the time, and realize tha tis wuld probably happen in all families wth brothers and sisters. Me not knowing since I only have 2 brothers. Although the fact of that when she says sometimes, "Maybe we should just go o Florida,"...really pisses me off since I know why she is saying it,....and I tell her,.."I am not liking the fact that I am going to be so far away from my mother and brothers, but I have to do what makes me happy first." "Me" happy! Not anyone else. Guys,...all you Cali bros, and Florida,....I know they are two great places,...but overall, which state rates better? For whatver reasons...this is a personal preferance poll, so let's hear it, and why... I am curious. Thanks for helping me out bros...Florida, Cali, N.J., N.Y., and whatever I left out...(lol) thanks bros...

never been to florida, but cali is nice. CROWDED as well. there are about 1 million people in the county of san diego. very diverse as far as culture goes, people, things to do. awesome weather. right now it is cold at 58 degrees. lots of things to do. nite life is comfortable. living is moderate, but there are the cheap places and the expensive places. I hear florida has a lot of crime, but I have never been there. crime is pretty low in general here in cali, at least in sd.

southern cali and northern cali are two different entities. norhtern cali is really green, while southern is just really populated. more land and room in norcal.

SURF! SURF! SURF!

California has the best surf in the continental US. To live there is dream for me, I really dream about it at least once a week, I love surfing, and it's the closest thing to pure extacy you can ever feel. The water there is beautiful, and the waves are like glass. Clean breaks and big waves.

CALIFORNIA is the way to go.

SAN DIEGO IS THE BOMB. Forget Nor Cal unless you are one of those Granola, Jeruselum Cruiser, Hemp Clothing Hippy FREAKS, and then Berkerly would be your choice.

Florida:
-Cost of living is CHEAP ! Buy a Nice small house for $100,000
-Weather is Great except for the Humidity in the late Summer
-Jobs are So-So; you will be shocked at the lower wages but remember the lower cost of living.
-Schools for children on average are average to poor.

Cali
-Cost of living is Higher than average and some places down right robbery especially the utilities.
-Weather is also good except for the El Nino storms. Not as Humid as Fl. Both have good beaches but Cali is better surf
-Jobs I don't know but you had better get a high paying one or live in a tent.
-Schools OK

I've lived in Florida my whole life. I grew up in Tampa and now I live near Boca. I like the Tampa area much better, but I'm over the whole state at this point. I want to move to San Diego!!! Mild temp all year and NO HUMIDITY!!!
