Hi everyone,

I'm new to the board and have been lurking the past few days to get a feel of the environment you have here. My reason for coming is two fold - I am researching the facts/ myths about steroids and steroid users, and i am looking to cast for the MTV show True Life.

Deciding whether to appear on television is a personel decision, and if it's not for you, that's fine. More importantly I'm looking to get some insight on what made you get into steroids, what annoys you about people's perceptions about steroid users, the facts/myths that come along with cycling and being a user, etc.

good luck at MTV, but responses will be few and far between for legitimate info. Who would want to divuldge that kind of info on MTV. You should get a hermaphrodite to play a part in your shows.
 
i'm just trying to do my job. if you don't want to help me out, that's cool. i figured that i'd come to what is probably the best site on the web, and hopefully have some luck.
I've actually spent hours on the board looking at various threads and topics, and i agree- there's a lot of useful info here... some of it a little foreign to me, i'll admit..
so that being said, i'd really appreciate any help you can give me.

if they are real reporters and stuff like that don't they have to get some type of waiver or something from the owner to solicit people to go on camera or give any input??

Well enough said from me. Looking around I have much more "K" than other newbies, so I guess I am doing a wrong.
 
wtlr, you must have some sorta recored for the amount of karma you have. I think there is plenty of people who would take reporter dude up on his offer. 10 seconds of fame is pretty alluring...
 
I doubt it. BTW..I was just perusing the other post and noticed that no other notable people were responding, hence my statement. 10 secs of fame would not be worth having 'them" watching you all the time. Imagine a crack drug user saying she used all the time and here are her benefits and here is who she got her stuff from. Also mentioning how easy it would be to get a source and product. I guess some things are better left not talked about, kinda like Heidi Fleiss (sp).
 
btw if this is mtv true life then they better go back and look at a past show they did called true life I want a perfect body. they fetured a guy who was a bb and he was on aas for sure! Just go back and talk to him.

What about the show about that fucking homo who got calf implants and thought he was the coolest mother fucker ever...kinda reminded me of fonz actually. Only because they showed him with his friends and all he kept saying was "I love my new calves, now I'm perfect with these things...I have the perfect body, all the chicks are gonna love me...blah blah blah..." Kinda like fonzy with his abs.

If I had his upper body I would be depressed.

Did you notice he didnt have a girl......I wonder why lol

Yeah...I watched it like 5 times just because it pissed me off so much. Kinda like a car accident, it's tragic, but you can't look away.

Had the same reaction to that guy who thought he owned the jersey shore...what a numbskull.

the saddest part of that calveless-assmongrol is that the general public will tend to catergorize a lot of people in the fitness genre as similar to sir loser himself. And granted, some are, but shit I have met very few people as moronic as that dude.

LOL!!! Definitely MTV material. Consider yourself casted for the next 10 years -- or until people finally get sick of watching reality tv.
 
alright here is my take on this whole thing. The people who would show that aas users are normal everyday law abiding citizens in all other aspects of their lives would have to much at stake to show themselves on tv. I just hope that some knucklehead does not get on the show that will paint a bad picture for everyone. The fact is there are dumbasses and idiots in every aspect of life and I just pray the people that are featured are not in this category. Just my 2 cents.

Also, if you want to get some real info on this talk to Rick Collins and the staff at Muscular Development mag. That would probably be the most informed group of people you could talk to. I am not trying to rag on anyone on this board but the fact is that most of the people on here are just kids and beginers. I am not saying there are some people with a wealth of knowledge I am just stating the facts!
 
Did anyboby contact MTV about this?

I only got a chance to see 3 pages of bullshit responses (except for a couple of good ones)
