So I partially tore my left pec yesterday while benching. I was just repping out and on the sixth rep I just felt a bunch of pulling and popping. It's not a very bad tear so hopefully I won't be out of action long.
The muscle is pretty much intact. I have full range of motion and can push without too much pain already. Had it been a major tear I wouldn't be able to do that or move it properly. It is starting to bruise up nicely I'll try and post a pic when I get a chance.
What is it that you think went wrong when you were benching that caused this tear?
Bad form? Too much weight? Just wondering, might be a good thing to remember for myself and any other guys in this thread.
