O.k. Was squat day today:
Top Squat overall rating bumped up to 9.5 out of 10
1st - cut out tabs, thicker bar fit great - no slidding etc.
2nd - rotated bar so handles up at start, this lets the groove of the bar pad face the ceiling and not push into traps.
Once you get used to the bar placement, squatting is easy and pain free!!
Only thing that could be better is slightly thinner pad so it would fit more comfortably on upper traps (have a short neck)
Again best part since it is comfortable, you can focus on all the proper mechanics and tempo! weights steadly going up - but not pushing to max (yet) still need to fully rehab ankle, hip and shoulder.
