First of all, this decision has not instituted 'free market philosophy'. It ruled the provision in the Quebec charter of rights as being unconstitutional. Even that is not finished with yet as they could still invoke their not-withstanding clause to overrule the Supreme Court. It did not strike down the provision in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Second, you think that instituting free market philosophy will improve our healthcare? Make it more like the US perhaps? 45 million uninsured and twice the cost per person? Access to perhaps the finest healthcare in the world for the rich? Sounds swell, sign me up.
I laugh when Americans denigrate the Canadian healthcare system.
