Top 5 Needs when Cutting

I'm trying to cut right now, but having poor luck. My diet has been drawn up by a nationaly known nutritionist, but the rest is beyond my 10+ years experience. I bulk very very well, but i do not cut well. So assuming diet is in order, what are the other TOP 4 Needs When Cutting?

I dont think there are a top 5,I think there are three things you need when bulking or cutting

1 proper diet-your set
2 proper training ,ie good balance of cardio and weights, but not to much cardio that you eat up muscle
3 rest-without it you will burn out,and lose mass

have fun

I agree....but didn't think about the var...good idea

It's expensive, but worth it's weight in gold when it comes to keeping your
muscle on a restricted calorie diet.

For me it looks like this:
1. well planned diet
2. cardio after working out (at least 4 days a week)
3. resistance training (5 to 6 days a week)
4. sleep
5. commitment to not cheat on any of the above

That gets my bf% down. Nothing happens over night. The more cardio I do the quicker things happen. I got down to 8.5% with minimal cardio. I just watched my diet like a hawk and didn't miss any workouts.
I'm 31 btw... so I know cutting sucks...

Question about #2. When you say "cardio after working out", I assume you mean cardio after lifting. When do you take in your post-workout shake? RIGHT after lifting but before cardio, or right after cardio?

Just wondering... 8.5 is where I wanna be (clean) :)

Daman, I second that question....I've often wondered the same thing myself. Sometimes I do workouts similar to that...

lift then get on the bike and start sippin the shake while you do cardio.. great way to really really enhance recovery..

when i do that i am recovered just as well as if i use slin or at least i fell that way when i go to workout at nite again..

Interesting... since my shake contains pure dextrose and I'm already lowcarbing I'm afraid the glucose will be used to fuel my workout rather than for lifting-recovery, though...

How long's the conversion take?

Same thing sorta

After you do cardio a majority of carbs will replenish glycogen stores. Lifting-recovery could be considered the same thing.

I take my shake right after cardio at the gym with mass amino's and ultra 40... seems to work well for me.

K but that's AFTER cardio, not during... what do you suggest?
