At last a couple of people who can look beyond the shores of the US! I really respect a lot of you guys, but it makes my laugh when you live up to the stereotype of Americans who are so US-centric and never even leave the US in their lives! There is a whole world out there guys…

Charleston is a lot of fun. it is in a moderate climate and right on the water. With 7 colleges in the city there is a lot going on culturally and an abundance of young people with whom to socialize.
It has a well devceloed downtown and intersting historic district. It isn't that great for shopping, but it has a Saks and some other basic needs.
Also, relatively close to Atlanta when you need real BIG CITY type stuff.
