After reading on the board for a good 5 hrs straight now I've decided i'm an idiot for even considering trying gear. I'm only 18 years old and have alot of natural growth left. But i'll be sure to stick around and post on a subject here and there, theres a shitload of knowledge on these boards, it's amazing. Thumbs up to all of you. Anyways, now that i know im gonna take the natural route for a while, what would you all recommend for dosages of creatine and protein. I'm 5'9", 135 lbs, 6% body fat. I was thinking about going with a 20 grams of creatine for 5 days for loading then level off at 5 grams a day? As for protein i'm not real sure how much i should take in. Is 2 grams of protein per lb of body weight too much? Also, how many calories should i take in a day, 3500? Ok, last question, i'm sore as hell after my chest and tricep workouts lately, which supplement aids in muscle recovery the best? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

P.s. What does BUMP mean?

i'm impressed with your decision!

2 g protein per lb is never too much! even for naturals, and especially for teens.

calories are very individualistic....go for a high number, like 4000, take it 300-500 higher each week, and back off when you notice bloating or fat gain. don't reduce the protein when you back off....rather the carbs and soome of the fats.

as far as supps for recovery, creatine, glutamine, whey, antioxidants, and multivitamins are mainstays. use those that are proven and don't fall for the "hyped garbage" supplements (ie: muscletech)

BUMP means you're adding a post to bump the thread up to the top of the 1st page of thread topics.

Hey bro,
You should probably post most of this on the supplement board, but since you were smart enough to read first I'll comment on your questions. The creatine sounds solid. Don't waste your money on any andro (just my opinion). As for protein the 2 grams idea will work. I'd go with no more than 30 grams a serving though, because I believe that's all you can absorb at one time, but aim for 200 grams a day. If you're using powdered protein go with something good like designer or I like ISO-Pure. As for the soreness question make sure your getting some of that protein right after you lift. I also drink plenty of orange juice for vitamin C and eat bananas for the potassium. Once you get into the swing of things the soreness will subside. The soreness probably comes on two days after the workout, right? Make sure you do a little something even if you are still sore from the previous workout (stretching helps on inbetween days, just don't over do it). Well, since you seem to be into the AS I'll post some of my "favorites" below. BUT PLEASE, don't believe everything you read, ask the board if you still don't understand something. DON'T forget to check the ARCHIVES of this site, go to Search at the bottom of the page, type in keywords, select Archives, and select Search. Oh, and BUMP just brings the thread back to the top of the page if you were really asking. GOOD LUCK... and email me if you decide to juice and need help deciding what to take.
