So I need to lose about 30lbs..so I can see my muscles again.....
one trainer says stay away from cardio, another says double up on cardio  uugghhh which one is it...each trainer has his own set of advice to me and I am soo frusturated I just want something that works...I don't want to build anymore muscle I have alot already, just all tis info confuses me and makes me want to give up .....
not to mention diet .....advice geez I won't even go there
also if you workout it the A.M. do i need to eat before ?
if its just cardio I assume it would be better on an empty stomach since I'm trying to lose weight ....?
Thanks

Hey girl! Trainer hell. Hate it!

I would say, start by looking at the "Are you new to EF Ladies' Board - START HERE" sticky at the top of this board. And also the BEST THREADs sticky as well. Great info on all sorts of things that are probably goign to pop into your head as you pursue the whole "fitness" thing.

As far as "losing weight" -- just to be clear, weight is a combination of lean body mass + bodyfat, so you can say you want to lose a number of lb, but the more relevant measure is bodyfat. To illustrate, when I began competition prep last Dec, I lost 9% bf between Dec & Mar but my weight only changed 2 lb. But getting back to business, I would take a look at the Shadow's Project thread as well for a good diet / training schedule that several of the girls have made fantastic progress on. And without ridiculous amounts of cardio. I will say that I think cardio has its place -- I can't lose significant bodyfat w/o doing cardio and sometimes 2x/day. But that's my body type.

AM training & cardio -- you can do AM cardio on an empty stomach, but if you are going to train, I would eat first. "Empty stomach cardio" can be cardio done without eating for up to 3 hrs prior -- your body has essentially metabolized everything you ate up to 3 hrs ago so you can consider yourself "empty". If you do cardio in the same session as your training, do the cardio after the training. But still dont' do training on an empty stomach.

I think there's a sticky on that topic in the Best Threads link as well.
