"Too much testosterone kills brain cells "

It seems like the CNN Article was designed to cast doubt on the usage of test. to elevate levels in the human body. And garner the Yale science dept. some free press with a hot topic. The extrapolation and manipulation of the content in the article "Testosterone Kills brain cells" goes beyond journalistic embellishment.

Here is a better one: "low testosterone in older men is associated with increased mortality risk." In a four-year period, men over the age of 40 with low testosterone were about 70% more likely to die than men with normal levels reported by Richard O'Brien, Emergency physician and Temple University clinical instructor. From the Bottom Line Healthier magazine.

So, we can postulate then, when it comes to Testosterone: "too much, might be bad?, a normal level is good! But, a low level is deadly!!!!!"

Lot of articles popping up in the mags these days corroborated by valid studies which suggest a lot of the confusion on this issue came about because there were athletes who were suspected of using or known to have been using steroids who were doing some crazy/bad things as they approached middle age. Problem was, this masked the fact that these athletes were suffering from brain damage caused by repeated, often untreated concussions.

Even the case of Chris Benoit: he was found to have been on nothing more than a HRT dose of steroids but his brain showed similarities to Alzheimer's patients due to repeated head trauma.

Another way for the media to bash something they know nothing about. They should write an article saying too much of almost anything foreign we put in our bodies kills brain cells among other things. Or don't go to the dr because medication kills brain cells. I think this lady is too high killed her brain cells after reading that article.
