Too much sediment in fina?

A friend made fina with finaplix -h instead of component -th. His solution looks odd, but my only experience was with component. His seems to have a lot more sediment (more binders?) at the buttom, does this look normal?

BTW: I am pretty sure that is a 50ml vial....

Looks like about the same ratio of sediment to total substance I had with finaplix-h. I had less though, cause I wasnt making 50ml worth. It should all be taken care of after you finnish the whole process.

That is way too much. I never seen so much sediment. I would refitler that.

He hasn't filtered at all, but still it looks like way to much even for unfiltered. Doesn't it? When I made it with comp -th there was about 1mm maybe 2mm of sediment at the bottom of a 50ml vial. This is obviously a lot more, not sure if there is something "wrong" of this is just becuase he used -h instead...

first off, how big is the bottle it is in to get a perspective from the picture... it looks about normal if it is around a 50ml vial

that looks about right to me... just wait a day or two to let it settle and then start filtering from top down... by the time you get to the sludge be careful not to try to filter too fast and break your syringe filter b/c then you'll have to refilter it all over again.

it looks horrible. Your sediment looks like oxidised fina. BTW, there is no binder/glue in fina pellets, just a tad of methylcellulose.
