Is it possible that if my protein intake is high it causes that I'm tired, sluggish??{and why??} what do you think, is here possibility?? I'm 5'6'108 and I consume daily between 120-130g protein. Is it OK by diet??

Yeah, that is perfectly fine.

You could consume up to 220grams of protien per day and be fine IMO.

Anything above 2 x bw is just low GI calories IMO.

Ahhh shit, I just realised your a girl lol.

Your consuming the perfect amount of protein for a girl IMO.

And in my experience, too much protien doesn't make me sluggish, but too few carbs does.

Carbs = sleepy

Proteins won't make you tired

Not enough carbs can, if you're not used to

Exactly. Most likely it is due to low carbs. Eventually you will get used to it. This is why caffeine is your friend. :)

High protein dieting keeps my energy levels up when low carbing it.
I usually bump my protein right up when I take carbs under 150g a day (at 280lbs) and shoot for 400g plus.

I am usually only tired because I should be - ie, 2 hours of cardio, busy day, lifting session etc, which is why there is eph and caffine in the world :)

It may be worth trying to take up your protein level a little, it really depends on the rest of your diet. I find sat fats make me tired and sluggish as hell so I have those non existent as possible.

Protein will not make you tired. However... you need to supplement that protein with water. Protein will leech water from your system. Protein raises uric acid levels in the blood that your body is forced to flush out. Net result: your body becomes dehydrated.

Drink 3/4 to 1 gallon every day. Coffee, sodas, etc. don't count. I'm talking pure water. I'd suggest you pick up a nalgene bottle (search amazon for "nalgene") and drink 3-4 bottlefulls throughout the day. I drink 32 oz in the morning, 32 oz at work, 32 at the gym, and another 64 in the evening.

Try it :) your body will thank you!

thanks for answer but I want ask you if I can use instead of clear water CRYSTAL LIGHT TEA.

The main reason I say "no" to sodas and coffee is the caffeine content. Caffeine is a diuretic (leeches water from your body), so that cup of coffee will actually make you dehydrated, instead of hydrated.

I'd say that the light tea is fine, provided it is caffeine-free. However, water is really best.

Some recent studies seem to conclude that caffeine is just very slightly diuretic

Interesting read, bob. K for you.

Regardless, it is a step backwards. Of course, this is coming from an individual who drinks little or no caffeine, so it has a greater effect on me.

According to the abstract the article by Maughan & Griffin, 2001, you can apparently build up a tolerance to caffeine. I'm very skeptical of that, however.

tolerance to caffeine ?
Of course

Take 4 or more Starbucks a day for one month and I promise coffee won't have so much effect on you
