Too much milk?

I drink about 1/2 gallon/day...is this too much? I've hear mixed things about milk and related health risks..just wanna make sure i'm not causing any unecessary harm on my body due to possible ignorance.
 
I guess it would depend on your dieting goals. If that much milk fits in with your plan, I don't know of any health risks associated with milk.
 
I'm on a bulking diet so the milk is a big part of it...It's the associated health risks that i'm concerned about, if there are any. Myabe the stuff I heard was just propaganda to spark the downfall of milk processing businesses. :confused:
 
I was drinking about a quart with my MRP post workout everyday and it was great. My WO partner though drank the same thing and he got a calcium deposit in his shoulder and another guy at the gym said he got one in his shoulder from too much milk......I am not sure about that though.

I was drinking about 1/2-1 gallon of Skim a day and I was gaining LOTS of muscle.....too bad I didn't keep it on.
 
Regular milk has alot of saturated fat, which isn't very healthy if you drink alot. But skim or low fat milk should be fine when taken in large quantities for bulking purposes.

I wouldn't worry about the health risks of milk. You're right Audio, its just propoganda of tree hugging, vegan hippies.
 
Milk is great for bulking. When I bulk i use up to a gallon of skim milk a day. It's great as the base for shakes and the carbs aren't simple sugars and there's a lot of protein in it. Also the calcium is great for the bones and joints.

The oldtimers depended heavily on milk to bulk up.
