Socio-economic-centrism my ass. I'll be civil but I refuse to be PC. It's bad enough that some wizkid called black people "Afro-Americans". What's that? A bad hairdo?

By keeping the language relatively formal it discourages people from remarking on the obvious cultural problems that plague a large portion of black Americans...

Read some of the other threads from earlier tonight. I'm from the whitest country on the planet. Black? Me? Not so much.

Funny thing is, my best friend is (ya know, black, black, black, black, etc, etc... ). We're not supposed to be friends at all "on paper" but whattayaknow.

Does that make me PC? Hell no. PC is just on the surface and thus completely irrelevant. IMHO.

Often times its quite the opposite. Conservative 'straight talk' often appeals to 'common knowledge' obtained through casual observation, which alot of the time, can be just as erroneous as the leftwings disregard for personal accountability.
