i'm not knocking Emmi. it worked well for her and i'm happy for that. but i get plenty of prejudice thrown my way everyday. people i've had an over the phone business relationship with for several months react negatively, because i'm not some anemic, pasty cracker with a combover.

And for the record, I get my fair share of prejuidice based on my appearance. I get A LOT of negativity (from women especially) but once they speak w/me for 10 minutes they all say, "Wow - you are SO NICE. Not at all what I expected."

I am like, "Huh?" Why would you think that?

i'm the velveteen rabbit. i don't treat women bad. i treat skanky hoes bad. and it's because that's the way they want it.

I wont disagree with this statement.

I used to put up with badboy bullshit until I had my fill then I told the guys upfront, "You disrespect me JUST ONCE and I am gone."

Worked really well.

Age has very little to do with it. My life is complicated. A younger man would not want to make his life unnecessarily difficult regardless of how great I am. Hell, even older men didnt want to and I didn't blame them for it.

I am still in awe every day exactly how much bullshit my husband puts up with just to be with me. I hope to God that the well never runs dry.
