Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below From what I undertsand the mechanism of action behind the natural testosterone boosting properties of Tongkat Ali is that it literally blocks the conversion of test into estrogen. To what extent I do not know. Any ideas as to how effective an anti-e this would be while being on TRT ? As an alternative to a synthetic drug like Arimidex or perhaps in conjunction in order to require a smaller dose of Arimidex ?

Umm I don't think it's the fact that Tongkat Ali blocks conversion to estrogen. The mechanism of action seems to be affecting the feedback loop mechanism... but as I recall, the bottom line is that it helps *produce* more testosterone in the leydig cells or whatever. It might help get your balls kickin again and producing more testosterone, but I haven't heard it blocks estrogen conversion. It's just less likely to be turned into estrogen because this testosterone is produced by the body and is not exogenous testosterone (i.e. steroids), whereas exogenous testosterone your body reacts by converting the excess to estrogen.
I have taken as little as 0.5 mg of adex twice a week during a cycle of over 750 mg aas and had no gyno problems at all. IMO it is worth the price.
No! Where are you getting your info from? TKA does not block estrogen, in fact it increases it to some extent, along with testosterone. It is felt to also increase prolactin also, and has actually caused gyno. My nipples get sensative after a couple days on TKA, every time. My sex drive goes through the roof though, and my "boys" get MUCH larger, but I'd NEVER consider TKA an anti-e.
