My journey into WSB and training to play football next year begins tomorrow. I am recovering from my cold and should be ready to go.

I have had to make a few changes to the routine IronLion suggested due to equipment accessibility, but it stays pretty much the same...

Monday: ME Upper
Bench Press - 5RM
Pin Press - 5 x 3 sets
JM Press - 10 x 3 sets
Barbell Row - 5 x 3 sets
Reverse Pushup (shoulder width grip, to face) - 15 x 2 sets
Hammer Curls - 15/arm x 2 sets

The rest of the week:
Monday - ME Upper
Tuesday - ME Lower
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - DE Upper (AM), Indoor Soccer (PM)
Friday - DE Lower
Saturday - Speed and agility work
Sunday - Off

I can't wait :garza:

Its almost 11:30pm. A bit later than I would like since I'll be up at 7:00am with lots of studying to be done. Fortunately, I am home all day and will be able to fuel my workout perfectly. Videos will be taken. A week without weights is too long :)

Bench Press
88 x 12
132 x 10
176 x 8
220 x 5
231 x 5
242 x 5
247.5x5 PR!!!

Pin Press (1/3 of the way up)
220 x 5 x 3 sets

JM Press
132 x 10 x 3 sets

Barbell Row (parallel to floor)
198 x 5 x 3 sets

Reverse Pushup (shoulder width grip)
BW x 14
BW x 10

Hammer Curls
22 x 15/arm
22 x 13/arm

That's the most fun I've had working out in ages, and I always enjoy my workouts :) Strong despite being sick all last week. Quite happy with everything.

JM Presses were hard on the wrists. I think my form needs work though, which might be why?

My arms haven't been this sore in ages. I really need to go and have my post-workout shake!!!

Bodyweight row, Incline pullup... Lots of names for them.

"This exercise is a good way to develop your capacity to lift your own body. It's the equivalent of the push-up for the back muscles. You'll need a power rack and a bar to perform this drill.

Set the safety pins about mid-thigh level and place the bar on the pins. Grab the bar with a shoulder-width grip, put your feet on the floor and keep your body straight. Bring yourself up by pulling on the bar." (http://www.t-mag.com/nation_articles/260chin.jsp)

I was calling them that before they appeared in that article. A trainer at my school showed them to me a few years ago...

I was using a pronated grip, as opposed to the supinated one shown in the photos. My grip and pulling to my neck was my best attempt to emulate face pulls :)
