Ok, my toilet flushes, but there doesn't seem to be enough water to make the bowl drian out and fill agian. Basically the tank empties into the bowl and sits there. I usually have to flush it 2 to 3 times before it'll drain. This has never happended before. What should I do?

sounds like there is a blockage usually a plunger will assist with this quite well. if this doesnt help you may need to call a plumber to have your closet rodded shouldnt be too expensive, but if he needs to rod out the drain and pull the toilet then that is more $$$

are you flushing anything your not supposd to? tampons, condoms, wrappers, tooth brushes?

when you flush it 2-3 times doesnt it overflow? or you wait for it to go down. Another thing you may want to try is cleaning the ring. get some rubber gloves(your chioce) and a coat hanger..use the end of the hanger to poke in the little holes under the ring.. be sure to go all the way around the ring and clean them out good. especially if you have hard water.

Well the toilet never over flows. It just seems like there isn't enough water to flush it all the way. The water just spins in the bowl. I usually wait until the tank is full agian before I attempt to flush.

I'm also not flushing anything thing else other than the usual. I was hoping it is just the plumbing on the inside of the tank. That isn't hard to replace at all.

check to see if the flapper is closing and that the tank is filling to the proper level so that there is enough water to flush. once flushing check to see if the flapper is not closing too soon

when i flush the toilet, I hold onto the handle until I know its time for the tank to refill. I'm doing that now, and sometimes it won't be enough. Think its time for new internal parts? I'm thinking specifically the part where the water enters the tank.

it sounds like changing the guts in the tank would not be a bad idea at all atleast you will not have to hold the flap open and then you could eliminate that problem

sounds like a blocked line, qtips and papertowels and huge wads of tp also will do you, and if your dropping huge piles flushing mid dump isnt a bad idea
