See the thing is I had been working out very hard since back in December up until the end of August. This was while I was in college. This semester I am doing a co-op, which is like an internship. I would get up at 5am and work until 2pm. I would then go coach high school football every afternoon up until about 7 pm. At that point the only thing I wanted to do was to go asleep. So I havent worked out at all since the end of August.

I started back working out this week. It has been tough. I have lost strength, but not too much. I figure I will have it all back in about a good month, but today is legs day!!!!! I know that I will not be able to walk tomorrow and its good and bad at the same time. Jeez what fun to look forward to!

Let me ask you all this real quick. Every time in my whole life when I have taken a break from working out, when I work out my bi's for the first time....the day afterwards my right arm always locks out and wont straighten out all the way. It goes away after a couple of days and never happens again. Strange huh?!? This ever happen to any of you?

:fro:

Probably working your bis too hard for your first time back. Ease into them. They'll be sore, but they shouldn't lock up like that.

Yeah they didnt lock up too bad this time. I didnt push them as hard as I normally would. They funny thing is that the locking up only happens once. The next time I worked my bi's out, I could obliterate them and they hardly would be sore.

Bis tend to soften up quickly after not being worked for a long period. The reason being that unless you're a pro athlete or longshoreman or something, you don't really use your bis much in real life.

Kinda funny, I remember when I first started lifting. The only thing I used my bis for was to shovel beer and fast food in my mouth. I remember I started to lift like a couple days before Thanksgiving. By the time Thanksgiving day rolled around, my arms were totally locked and I could barely get the fork to my mouth. Every bite was agony. I could almost hear God laughing at me. :)
