Jr goes in, in just about 1 hour to remove the tonsil and adnoids..I am a little nervous as to how he will do.I am hoping it wont be too painful for him once the procedure is finished...
Wish us luck

My best to you and JR, Angel! Don't worry, I had the same procedure when I was an infant and my mom said everything couldn't have run smoother. Apparently, the reward of all flavours of ice cream is a great pacifier, too :)

Better to have something planned. :)

One of my sons broke his arm and put the bone through the skin. He did pretty damn good considering the damage. Surgery for that one took quite a while.
Here he is getting his first cast off.

yeah, he is gonna have tons of ice creams, pops, yogurt,etc...
I am just worried cause he is an extreme vocal child..I dont want him to forget he had it done, scream, and pull on the stitches or something..
I know the dr who is doing it and I am confident that all will go well with that..like I said, it is the aftermath that I am concerned about.

Get him a small dry erase board and some bright neon markers to communicate with pictures!

thank you all, he did great..they had it done in about 1/2 hour...coming out of it for him was rough because they gave him extra anesthesia due to the typical pink drink not working for him. They had to give him some added help to keep him calm as he was waking up..that was my hardest point was seeing him coming out of it, and not being in control of himself...I was pretty upset about it..Luckily I had hubby and his mom with me to help calm me as well....
we came home and vegged out watching good movies together...He is in a little pain but due to the meds I am sure he wont feel pain until today, he is still sleeping...What is great about it is that before the surgery I could here him breathing in his sleep all the way in the living room..And even though he is swollen and stuff, I could not hear him last night..Literally had to put my head on his back to make sure he was breathing, so looks as though it may help..I notice he woke up in the middle of the night and drank some liquids I had left, but his sleep was not as restless as it has been
thank you for your well wishes, and I hope that he is fine today now that the meds should be out of his system...
