To those that inject quads

What type of needle do you guys use? Gauge and length?

I've used both 23 and 25 gauge....the 25's are much easier. Save the 23's for the glutes.

I like to go deeper, use 25g 1 1/2" in the pocket area.

where are you getting your needles that they will break off? Or how ruff are you injecting to cause a needle to break off. In all my years as a nurse giving IM injections at least 10/day for three times a week for 5 years have never had a needle break off. I have them pop off the syringe but only due to me not screwing the needle on it like i should and the thickness of the med.

1in needle are fine. Stick away and it hurts a lot less.
