To pierce or not to pierce???

I am thinking about getting my clit pierced.
I am hesitant because I haven't heard if there is any unpleasant side-effects, long term or short term.
Also, what about piercing the nipples???
I heard that you loose sensation. Is this true?
Any help would be great!!!

I've had my ears pierced 7x & my belly ring pierced & repierced once. I've never had an urge to do more, so I can't' really help you there. Maybe you could go check out a couple clean & reputable piercing places & ask them about the procedure, the risks & the bennies Maybe they can give you a reference to talk to as well.

I have my hood pierced and I love it. If they pierce the clit you will lose all your sensation down there.

I agree with Sassy...go and ask questions. I'm not too sure about the clit peircing but I do know that you will be out of sexual commish for about 6 months while it heals. Also be thinking long term about your nipples. If you plan on breastfeeding in the future,be sure and let your peircer know. It will affect where they peirce the nipple. I have my tongue done, and am at a 2 guage through my ear, but I have not peirced below the neck. Best wishes!!

Having anything pierced you will take the chance of losing sensation, esp. the clitoris and nipples - it all depends on who you talk to, some will tell you they love it, others may not. I can suggest to keep asking around, do your research and talk to people who've had it done. I'm sure there are people who will come out of the woodwork It's really your decision and your risk in the end Plus some pretty scars if you ever decide to remove the piercings

there is some risk of loosing some sensitivity in the nipples if you get them pierced. Just know that no one can absolutely guarentee that they wont be some longterm reduction in sensitivity. That risk, however, can be greatly minimized by a skilled and experienced technician.

As for finding a good technician, if at all possible do not just pick one out of the yellow pages. Ask friends for referrals to technicians they've used and with whom they've had great results. And when you meet the technician, dont be afraid to ask a lot of questons like how many times they've done nipple or clitoral piercings, what complications their customers have experienced, etc. If they're reluctant to answer any of your questions, then keep stepping sister.

i had my nipples peirced and didnt lose all sensation i just never really liked them messed with in the first place. I guess im just not a boob kind of girl. as far as getting something peirced down below i would suggest peircing only the hood also because you stand a greater chance of losing sensation if you peirce your clit; besides peircing the hood would stimulate you just as much as if you peirced the clit. My girlfriend has had both done and she said the hood is better.

Everyone I know who has their clit pierced loves it.

I had my nipples pierced when I was 21. It hurt like hell. They were ultra-sensitive when I wore the rings but I just didn't like them after about a year. I took them out and now 3+ years later I really regret it because there are still little holes and I have some scar tissue. Nobody would really notice it except for me but I hate it. And they went from being super sensitive to almost not sensitive at all.

I have my hood pierced and I LOVE IT! It is visually quite stunning.

Of all the pierces I have gotten (nose, navel, ears and hood) it healed the most quickly and with the least amount of grief. Actually, it healed like in a week! My nose took FOREVER and had to have my navel repierced twice... and will have to have it redone.

Talk about sensitivity!!! I almost regret having the damned thing done... I have a strong drive, but that little hemotite ball rubbing on my clit makes me horny 25/7... as opposed to the 24/7 I used to feel. So dont get it done unless you want to be one horny little bitch. LOL

I've had my clitoral hood pierced for about 6 years now, and never experienced any negative side effects. I didn't lose any sensations in that region, and in fact that region was oh so sensitive, the 1st month. Now it's just there. I didn't even remove it for the birth of my son.

I had my hood pierced a couple of yrs. ago and never had any problems...I would not pierce the clit itself though. My favorite part about the verticle hood piercing is when my husband is giving me oral, he can easilly pull the hood away from my clit for maximum exposure/pleasure just by holding a finger on the barbell. It looks pretty too. Sometimes if I'm going sans panties I'll wear a dangly piece of jewelry (like for a bellybutton piercing) and omg...talk about horny!

Hubby had nis nips pierced but one kept giving him problems, even 2 yrs. later, so he took it out. He wants to get it re-done. It increased sensitivity in him.
