To make a bottle sterile...what do U say..

Goto REI or some other outdoor supply store , by yourself some Nalgene ( brand name ) bottles ( hikers and travellers use them because they close so securely and you dont get shampoo , lotion , etc. all over your clothes ). They are also a standard lab item and are autoclavable. Autoclave them ( or pressure cook them at 250+F ) . Get the shit home and repackage into your sterile pokes or get some bottles from Stew and your set ...

Sounds great, if only I were in the US. Unfortunately my access to autoclavable shampoo bottles, let alone autoclaves, is limited here, deep in the 3rd world.

If you had to use regular shampoo bottles or cough syrup-type bottles, and could not bake, blowtorch or autoclave, but did have access to bleach, what would you do? Do you think that, under these conditions, it would even be worth it? I'm not really willing to carry gear back in its original package anymore, given everything I've read recently about how intense Customs can be.
