Hey thanks for your response to my thread "More Info on Leg Pressing". I have been a lurker here for many years and I have always enjoyed reading your post. Plus McGyver was always a cool guy. When ever I'm at the gym and I watch other people train I am always impressed by the person that is using a controled weight with excellent form. No matter what the weight their using nor their age or size I always say to myself if I'm not careful that guy is gonna catch me. These are the peolpe that motivate me to keep my dominance. It's not the person benching 315 for 4 sh#tty reps. It's that quiet guy doing strict sets of 135! I hope my post has been inspiring for you.

I'm inspired.

Thank you.

All I can say is that I hope my legs are half as good as yours when I reach your age.

Don't let your head swell but I'd have to agree that your posts are always good and informative. You've helped me with a number of questions. Thanks again.

Thank you also.

I try to help as much as possible w/ what I know.

They can be better Mac and I'am not BS you. I have made alot of mistake with my training over the years. Would be glad to talk training philosophies, supplementation, nutrition or whatever with you or any one else for that matter. I'm not on this board to embellish nor lead anyone astray. I have quite a remarkable bodybuilding background. I have helped many people improve their physical and pyschological aproach to training. There are only a few people's opinions on this forum with which I can agree. There is a lot of misguided information being passed around here. I know that it is not on purpose.

Thanks but you have yet to see my legs.
My upper body morphs my lower, but I'm starting to acheive better and better symmetry w/ time. My shoulders, chest and arms grow incredibly faster than my lower half. Very frustrating at times.
The older I get I'm less and less concerned w/ being "HUGE", symmetry and definition w/ moderate size is my goal.

I was the exact same way Mac. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing shorts. Thank God I hurt myself or I never would have changed my routine. Give what I said a try. The people that try this style of training usually quite after 3-4 weeks. Even people that want to be my training partner. Unless they pay for my services and I am there to see them through it week after week. It's just mentally easier to squat for 6-10 reps and rack it. Then they complain to me that their back hurts and they can't grow. The thing of it is I'm always sympathetic.

To say moving a weight slowly and controlled is better is just silly. It may be better if you want big legs w/ no real applicable strength, but if you are looking for athletic performance or true strength then speed is king. Dynamic pulls and presses are BY FAR superior to bench pressing w/ your legs in the air to 'isolate the chest" or doing slow controloled reps to insure a 6sec TUT and the maximun blood volume....lol

Here are a couple great examples of weights being slopped around by our worlds finest:
