To end diet or not to end diet?

Okay I've been dieting for 6.5 weeks going to end of year would give me 7.5-8 weeks total.

Started at 6' 205 pounds
Now at 182-183 pounds
waist started at 36 inches
Now at 31 inches

My question is should you diet for 12 weeks or just until your happier with your bf levels?
How should I transition if I do go off the diet? (ckd)
I haven't had bf tested but I'd say 10-12%

CKD diets should be done for at least 6 weeks.. and 12 weeks max. If you're happy with your results, then stop it.

screw it man, you've gone this far, whats another 6 weeks? I could do that standing on my head. stick with it and get totally ripped up. What do you got to lose, besides excess bf?

Stick to the diet for 6 more week, you're 1/2 way there as is, might as well get the optimal benefit.

yep. that's what I'll do. then it's back to bulking. Btw is all this seesawing healthy for ones body.

Ups and downs in weight are probably not that healthy, IMO.

Why do ya' say that, X? Jes' lookin' for some reasoning.

It's hard for your heart to handle the ups and downs. More pressure and less pressure, more cardiovascular shape and less. It's relative to the person, of course....but overall, I say it's the healthiest to stay fairly lean and have slow changes. (unless you're in a bind and need to drop massive weight in weeks)

So, just out of curiosity, is going on these bulking diets and eating 300+ grams of protein and 3000+ cals considered extreme, if you're training hard and making quick gains in muscle mass? I'm starting to feel a bit skeptical about my bulking diet now...

Well, I guess if you compete and need the mass fast: yes, it's needed. However, you can be a fairly lean bodybuilder w/ 10-12% bodyfat and still put on muscle mass by playing around w/ daily intake of calories/protein/carbs and training w/ massive weights for beyond failure training. You could probably gain a significant amount of LBM, it would take longer though, doing the BodyOpus w/ a 3 day carb up.

gradual increase has to be the better option. Perhaps adding some cardio days within the week will allow your body to better adjust to the weigth increase. But your heart gets a good workout if you hit the weights hard anyways. The game is chess not checkers. But like he said if you need to add the mass ASAP or lose it, then do what you have to do. This is not from experience, just some common sense i suppose.
